Non-flat steel hull components are commonly used in ship building industry, especially in the sections of stem and stern, curvature changes are significant and always difficult to process. How to determine a hull plate is qualified in the bending process is a common problem. Currently, all shipyards in China are using a wooden device called the’sample box’. The wooden sample box is hand-made, and needs a lot of wood and working hours to build; in the phases of use and storage, it’s required to be extremely careful to avoid breaking the shape of the box linear; and because it’s wooden, so it’s sensitive to the humidity and the environment. Besides, one sample box can only be used in exactly one type of ship, if the ship changes, all the existing sample boxes have to be discarded. So it’s a great deal of environmental pollution and resource waste.CNC sample box is an automation equipment based on the existing wooden sample box. It can automatically form the shape of hull plate, and be used in the hull plate curvature test during the ship building process. It’s a necessary equipment for hull plate surface accuracy control. CNC sample box with a DC motor drive, and equipped with modern automatic control system, is a new shipbuilding equipment. CNC sample box of the control algorithm is a kind of box to its surface forming a core part of the function, how to effectively play the role of automatic control technology in the machine control performance, stability, etc., this article must face the issue.This paper first describes the characteristics and shortcomings of the existing aluminum model and wooden sample box, introduce a CNC technology solution to the problem. Then introduced the structure of CNC sample box, according to the specific needs of the CNC sample box, analysis of key issues need to be resolved in the sample box control system:(1) planning the CNC sample box forming path and control parameters;(2) CNC sample box article synchronous collaborative shaping control algorithm.To this end, this paper presents a numerical control system algorithm for the CNC sample box, analyzes a solution for control points on the three-dimensional surface arrived at the same time in different speed:(1) analyze the principle of action and control of the surface mesh control points;(2) build a multi-block model for synchronizing the shape of the control algorithm.Finally, this article summarizes and points out the direction of further research and development trends.
