Along with the continuous development of the international trade industry, the shipping industry has a rapid improvement in recent years. To the marine machinery, marine gear reducer is a widely application in the very range of machinery, especially it has a very extensive use in the fuel injection system of diesel engine, speed regulation system and winch. So the marine gear is very important in the normal work of ships operating. Once the gear is failure, that is to say there is a fault on the gear, which can cause a great impact to the ship. To the marine gear, the mainly form of the failure is pitting, scuffing and wear, besides the marine gear break occurred in the harsh working conditions, in addition, accompanying the running of the gear, vibration and noise is inevitable, therefore, reducing the noise and vibration is now a focus to study.According to the given parameters and referencing to the single-stage spur gear transmission design standard, the paper uses a single stage gear reduce matched to a marine medium speed diesel engine, and calculates the basic parameters of the reduction gear transmission gear. Then make the three-dimensional modal of the main and the driven gear in Pro/E respectively, and complete the assembly of the gear geometry in accordance with the design requirements.NEXT, from the theory of modal analysis method, the third chapter gives the methods and steps to solve the inherent characteristics of the mechanical systems, introduces the methods to solve the model natural frequency and the inherent vibration type in ANSYS.DO the finite element modal analysis to the marine gear in the ANSYS modal analysis module, and obtain its first10natural frequencies and the corresponding vibration modes. By comparing the modal analysis results, the paper analyzes the natural frequency of a single gear, and further compares the relationship between each natural frequency. In order to avoid the transmission gear system resonance phenomenon, we should make the external excitation response frequency to avoid the natural frequency of gear.Finally, the paper analyzes the basic method of the gear coupling model for vibration analysis, uses the mode of the second chapters completed, through the establishment of a spur gear pair gear vibration dynamics model, the paper converses it to IGES format, then import to the ADAMS analysis software, using the parametric modeling and simulation method, Considering the impact and load in the meshing procession, do the analysis of the model using the dynamic simulation analysis based on the vibration characteristics of assessment parameters, considering the result from the vibration displacement, vibration velocity, vibration acceleration, vibration angular velocity, vibration angular acceleration. After the analysis we can see the driven wheel changes greatly in the meshing process of the spur gear, the vibration is mainly driven gear vibration, so in considering the marine gear vibration analysis, the principal object should be mainly about the driven wheel.All these can provide reference for the practical design of gear.
