In recent years, with the rapid development of our economy and theimprovement of people’s living standard, a lot of Community Clubhouse emerge inmany places. In the perspective of real situation and development trend of oursettlement construction: on one hand, the Community Clubhouse will surly becomeimportant building settlement construction type; On the other hand, there are still a lotof problems for research. Therefore, the research and analysis of the residential areasis necessary. First of all, base on the current social and economic cultural backgroundof China, using the method of literature and market research, analysis of the currentsituation of the residential design, further analysis of the systematic characteristics ofCommunity Clubhouse. Second, though the problems existing in the club construction,introducing the adaptability theory into residential design, research and discusses themethods of the adaptive design, combined with the theories of city planning,architecture and economic management, this paper proposes the principles of adaptivedesign of the Community Clubhouse. Finally, faced with complex and changeablenatural environment, social conditions and cultural factors. This paper carefully giveanalysis to the limitations adaptive design. Therefore, from the point of view "to theenvironment for the root" and "people-oriented", this paper analyzes the design of theresidential adaptability strategy: overall planning and design must be paid attention toposition selection and the rationality of the scale, functional configuration should bepaid attention to meet the diverse needs of people and combined with the economy.The construction model design and residential buildings, and environment should becombined, focusing on space flexibility and diversity of space layout. Interactiondesigners, developers, managers, and residents should be emphasis in interactivecooperation. Striving to Community Clubhouse can satisfy people’s needs, achievingthe requirement of residential and urban planning, so as to create the sustainableliving environment to provide the theory basis and practical strategy, and promotingthe healthy development of the Community Clubhouse.
