With the development of industrial automation, the traditional intermittentweight measurement device is difficult to realize the high-speed automatedweighing of bulk materials weighing, while the electronic belt scale can realize itbecause of the characteristics that continuous weighing and higher automationdegree. There is a big gap between our country and foreign in the developmentand use of electronic belt scale. Actively develop high-grade weighing productswith independent intellectual property rights have great significance for thedevelopment of the weighing instrument industry in China. This forces people toin-depth study in order to improve performance.The requirements of growing numbers of function and gradually improvingaccuracy of the electronic belt scale request more advanced hardware. Therefore,high-speed TMS320F28335DSP is choosed as the controller chip to designelectronic belt scale in this article.In order to achive the high performance ofDSP and to facilitate software development, the real-time operating systemμC/OS-II had transplanted. The signal amplifier circuit, A/D conversion module,LCD module, power supply module, communication module, human interfacemodule circuit in the hardware are designed, after this, task and interrupt division,the main program, the application program, the interrupt program and the driverprogram are designed. All of these is to realize the function of electronic beltscale such as display, communication, data acquisition, human interface andprinting. In order to improve the precision and speed of belt scale, advancedweighing control algorithm, fuzzy PID control for example, is developed.Inaddition, in order to reduce the influence of disturbs in data acquisition channel,FIR digital filter is also designed.That better precision and more functions available are mainly two methodsto enhance the performance of the electronic belt scale at home and abroad. Whether more function or more advanced algorithm proposed to improve theaccuracy of high performance depend on high quality software and hardwareplatform. Therefore, the hardware platform with DSP as the core and softwareplatform transplanted embedded real-time operating system of the electronic beltscale is designed. The design of hardware and software has greatly improvedthan previously belt scale, which has greatly improved the overall performanceof the belt weigher. Mainly to enhance the following aspects: the application ofhigh-performance DSP processors enables the computing speed of belt scalefaster than ever; μC/OS-II operating system migration applications greatlyimprove the real-time nature of the belt scale; fuzzy PID algorithm control thebelt transfer rate of the belt scale to make the belt robust delivery of materials;the use of the FIR filter algorithm retain the useful signal of the sensor tomaximize and the impact of the noise signal to minimize; all of which canimprove the accuracy and speed of electronic belt scale.
