In lots of industrial processes, we need to direct kinds of material into appropriate ratio to make sure the stability of the produce process. It’s of great significance for production’s process and quality. Belt weigher dedicated to many industries such as cement, chemical, metallurgical etc. Equipped with Electronic weighing device and Speed detection device, it can weight accurately a variety of bulk material coordinated with the frequency converter and adjust the motor’s speed in order to control the charge.Comparing to traditional Belt weigher, which based on embedded systems has a lot of advantages in term of computational speed and precision, data-processing and information exchange capacity etc. The embedded system’s inherent characters such as great stability, portable of software and short development cycle are good for Belt weigher’s upgrade. So this equipment with embedded system has great significant for embedded system, weighting field and industry production.Firstly, this article briefly introduces domestic and international developing status of the Belt weigher, secondly it focus on this equipment’s principle, overall structure of the system, the hardware circuit design and software implementation of each module. Finally it analyzed the device’s Error sources, the algorithm and the operating method of its calibration methods, and make the analyze and summary in detail on test data.Here we selected STM32F103micro-processor of Cortex-M3core as the processor, designed with a Flash memory, RS-485bus and other peripherals circuit, in order to facilitate user’s operation, we used the touch-screen together to make up the main control system. PID control the bulk material’s flowing in software. It output4-20mA current signal for frequent inverter to control motor’s speed. Touch-screen is programmed for menu which used to display parameters and operation options, RS-485bus communicate with remote PC. In addition, the device also provides real-time clock, power cut-off information etc to facilitate the application in field.Finally, there is a general summary grounded on above result of study. Anyway, it’s honor to me to play a role in the future research and design for the Belt weigher.
