Belt scale is a kind of important detection equipment, which obtains the flow of solid materials through measuring the mass of materials and the speed of the belt. As the technology of electronic, embedded system and sensor developed, belt scale transformed from mechanical to electronic, and became the indispensable detection equipment on many fields e.g., mine, metallurgy, port, logistic, etc.Belt scale is base on dynamic weighing system. The detection precision and long-term stability are important points. There are many factors that influent the result of belt scale, e.g., the environment, the tension of belt, electromagnetic interference, etc. After analyzing the characteristic and the stress of the sensors, this paper presents an array organic electronic belt scale, which changed the idea of the belt scale designing.This paper introduces the background of this research, sums up the present status at home and abroad, presents the technology way of the belt scale. Concrete contents are as follows:1. Introduces the detection principle and the calculating method, presents the main problems of the belt scale, analyses the main factors that influent the result of belt scale, finds the error source, and several method to improve the detection accuracy;2. Researches the supporting devices and the sensors, analyses the structure, principle and the stress of the sensors of four type supporting devices:single lever type, double lever type, cantilever type and suspended type. The conclusion is the suspended supporting device has the characteristics of high accuracy, simple structured and stable reliable. The array organic electronic belt scale is constituted by several suspended supporting devices, which extends the length of the belt where to be weighed, reduced the error caused by the belt tension, etc. The multiple sensors provide much accuracy detection result. The paper analyses the weighing sensor and the relationship between the load and the output of sensor, decides to use the suspended weighing sensor and photoelectric speed sensor;3. This paper designs the hardware circuit base on ARM microcontroller. Chooses STM32F107TV6which is base on ARM Cortex-M3.Designs sensors, CPU, LCD, touch screen and communication circuit;4. Presents the Kalman Filter applied to process the signal of weighing sensor. Introduced the structure and principle of Kalman Filter, builds the mathematical models the weighing sensor system, and simulates the result in Matlab, Which verified the solution will enable measurement accuracy to be increased.5. Introduced the function and characteristics of μC/OS-Ⅱ, a embedded RTOS (real time operating system). Analyzing the management of the user tasks, the paper designed the software of the electronic belt scale, and developed the GUI (graphical user interface) using μC/GUI.Comparing array organic electronic belt scale with the present belt scale, the measurement accuracy increased; the reliability, the long-term stability and the function enhanced. The GUI is friendly and the term of development reduced. The achievements of this paper have important scientific significance and engineering value.
