In recent years, efficient glass products and window frame structure technology has the rapid development.According to the survey, the Low-E energy-saving glass windows are increasingly being accepted by virtue of its good thermal performance;With the right to use the Low-E energy-saving windows, achieving better energy efficiency and economic benefits has become an important issue in Building Energy Research.In this paper, first of all, in the subtropical region (mainly on the exterior windows of the residential district of Guangzhou),the author has interviewed and learned to the use glass windows application situation in this region. Then the author focus on researchs of Low-E glass and new residential construction since2003and Low-E glass energy saving windows residential area, the energy-saving window frames had made certain research in existing glass factory production market, market conditions and trends has learned on energy-saving glass windows, in order to understand overview of the application of Low-E glass energy saving windows in the subtropical region.And the Low-E glass energy saving windows have a brief analysis of the economic benefits.Secondly, based on theoretical analysis, with the use of building curtain wall windows and doors thermal performance calculation software (the Guangdong Jianke MQMC2010Edition).6mm single transparent glass aluminum windows,6mm-type single-layer sunshade Low-E glass aluminum window,6mm+9A+6ordinary hollow transparent glass aluminum windows,6Low-E+9A+6mmLow-E insulating glass aluminum windows and6mm single transparent glass aluminum-plastic co-extruded window,6mm single-layer sunshade Low-E glass aluminum-plastic co-extruded windows,6mm+9A+6ordinary hollow transparent glass aluminum-plastic co-extruded window6Low-E+9A+6mmLow-E insulating glass aluminum co-extruded windows etc eight design conditions window type were calculated.Wih the default data of the building curtain wall windows thermal performance calculation software, it has the parameter values of the heat transfer coefficient and shading coefficient and visible transmittance of the windows by modeling the optical properties of the thermal simulation.It can conclude:6mm sunshade Low-E glass aluminum alloy (aluminum-plastic co-extrusion) window shading coefficient and visible transmittance is about50%lower than the window of6mm ordinary transparent glass aluminum alloy (aluminum-plastic co-extrusion). Similarly.the6Low-E+9A+6insulating glass aluminum alloy (aluminum-plastic co-extrusion) window shading coefficient and visible light transmittance is about50%lower than6+9A+6mm insulating glass windows of aluminum alloy (aluminum-plastic co-extrusion). This is because Low-E glass windows of aluminum alloy (aluminum-plastic co-extruded) of Low-E glass coated with a layer of silver film, the silver film on the optical properties hinder a part of the solar radiation into the interior. It is a good thermal insulation by reducing the shading coefficient.Low-E glass aluminum alloy (aluminum-plastic co-extrusion) is thermal optical properties of the window.Then, based on the introduction in DeST (Design by Simulation Toolkit) software, the author has made the residential buildings monomer in Guangzhou district, the DeST-h software had done the single building with the eight desiging conditions of the annual energy simulation.It can come up with the data of the whole energy consumption and peak cooling and heating load and the cumulative load values.The results of the operating conditions values were compared, it can conclude:It is a significant reduction of40%-50%for building energy consumption in using of Low-E glass aluminum alloy window in the subtropical region residential buildings, which should achieved building energy efficiency. This research results in the second chapter:it is consistent that Low-E glass can save40%-50%than the same structure of generally glass products。Finally, this paper analyzes the fourth-chapter DeST simulation results energy consumption of economic benefits, it proces from the residential building energy consumption and glass light pollution. It discusses the environmental characteristics of the Low-E insulating glass; Then, the Low-E glass production costs were analyzed;And the Low-E glass market were evaluated; we can conlud that Low-E glass windows have good economic and environmental protection in the subtropical region, and they had broad market prospects, We should vigorously promote the application and development.
