ABSTRACT:The cyclic train timetable (CTT) with the general cycle of1h or2h has been widely adopted on high-speed railway all over the world, which has the characteristics of high density of train operation, fixed operational time and regular parking spots compared with China’s traditional train timetable with the cycle of24h.The Chinese railway network has a broad coverage with numerous stations, long transmission lines and massive cross-line trains. Travelling mileage, operating condition and passenger flow show obvious differences among the lines. In spite of the advantage of CCT mentioned above, its adaptability in China’s railway network still needs to be further studied. The theory and method of CCT adaptability evaluation are studied in this paper. Firstly the concept of CCT adaptability evaluation is proposed, its influencing factors are analyzed by referring to practical high-speed railway service, and the process of adaptability evaluation is designed.Secondly, key technologies including adding-paths technology and evaluating technology are further studied to improve the model and algorithm. After comparing the features of different algorithm and evaluating methods, mixed genetic annealing algorithm and fuzzy analytic hierarchy-comprehensive evaluating are utilized. In order to realize the model and algorithm, an evaluating system for CCT adaptability is developed based on the technique of MATLAB. Finally, the process of CCT adaptability evaluation of Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway is demonstrated as a case example.
