High-speed railway has become a world tendency. As a key work of the high-speed railway organization and management, how to working out a reasonable and scientific train timetable is an important subject to experts and scholars. Cyclic train timetable is an advanced mode of train operation way, it has been successfully applied for many years in foreign countries. However, in china, train timetable is still followed the traditional mode, the study of cyclic train timetable is not enough. This paper makes some research on the method of working out cyclic train timetable, as well as its application on Chinese PDL.This paper analyzes the character of cyclic train timetable in detail, introduces its application in foreign countries, and considering the condition of our country, analyzes the necessity and feasibility of cyclic train timetable's application on Chinese PDL; discussing the character and process of working out cyclic train timetable; then, refers the foreign model of describing cyclic train timetable problem (CRTP), analyzes its algorithm which is based on PESP model. To fit the condition of Chinese PDL, a new model based on fixed train arrival-departure is provided, meanwhile, providing a solving method of model. Further, a cyclic train timetable for Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway is worked out as a case study, which verifies the correctness and the practical value of the model. Finally, a system which based on VC++ platform is developed, through importing the data solved by theatrical model, the system can complete the work of computer aided working out cyclic train timetable, it also has the functions of displaying timetable, querying train or line, interactive adjustment and statistical analysis.
