With the increasing traffic load, pavement structure put forward higher requirements forthe sub-base construction quality. Simultaneously, lots of engineering practice proved thatthe construction quality of the sub-base is one of the key factors which influence pavementperformance and durability. It takes great significance for improving projects qualityand extending the life of the pavements.Taken Ru Chen highway of Hunan province as the basis, carried out the mixture ratiodesign through laboratory and field tests, And in the light of the SAC-25 gradation testmethod, it will propose the gradation test method of cement stabilized gravel sub-base andanalysis grading concept and the basic principles of test methods; here, it collecteda large number of test data about the main construction variation factors including cementdose, water content, compaction degree, the mixture gradation, etc. of road sub-base fromRu Chen highway, classified statistics and analysis the variability and variation of these keyfactors, and then find the main factors of the mutate combined with the actual situation. Onthis basis, summarized and analyzed construction and quality control techniques ofCement stabilized gravel sub-base, focusing on analysis and research how to use statisticalprocess control technology to control cement stabilized gravel sub-base constructionvariability and guide the construction to improve the construction quality of cement stabilizedgravel sub-base pavement.The results of this study can provide important theoretical basis for the constructionvariability and construction quality control of cement stabilized crushedstone sub-base pavement.
