Henan Province, Two Gray Gravel And Cement Stabilized Macadam Base Application

On the basis of the existing technical specifications for highway base construction, we have selected semi-rigid base (include stabilized macadam-limeflyash and stabilized macadam-cement) from several quite typical regions within the boundaries of Henan province, moreover, we make a comprehensive and systematic investigation and analysis from the aspects of design , material test and construction . The study reflects the integrated state of the structure of the base in Henan province comparatively overall, which can make further improvement on the construction quality of the base and put forward a criterion of local trade fitting whole Henan province.Firstly, the thesis makes a detailed and systematic analysis about raw material of stabilized macadam-limeflyash and stabilized macadam-cement(lime, flyash, cement , macadam) and formulate the behavior index of the material in service fitting whole Henan province. Having analyzed the shortcomings of the existing specifications in grading envelope of base aggregates, we pose a reasonable grading envelope of aggregates in Henan province. We recommend that using calcined lime substituting for hydrated lime to improve the early strength of the stabilized macadam-limeflyash base. At the same time we raise an objection on the method of testing maximum dry density through heavy compaction devices and adopt the vibrating compaction.According the concrete conditions of Henan province, we raise the reasonable construction craft on stabilized macadam-limeflyash and stabilized macadam-cement; furthermore we summarize the accidents in construction and the methods of disposing of them. Having analyzed and summarized these problems such as isolation reasons of mixture, methods of solving them and the base smoothness. Last, we analyze the reason of producing cracks and its influence factors, providing the measures of preventing and remedying the cracks.
