With the development of the bridge crane market, the direction of customer demand is toward diversification, personalization, short cycle, high efficiency. Responding quickly to market demand in a short time has became the precondition for enterprise to gain a larger share of the market. As advanced technology of shortening the development cycle crane and improving the product development ability, Rapid response design has become one of hot topics of the crane design and manufacturing.Overhead crane bridge is a typical series product, and the design of new products is commonly be modified, borrowed, and innovated based on existing designs. Therefore, design knowledge inheritance and reuse is the key to realize rapid response design of overhead crane bridge. In order to solve the problem, text introduced into the conception of dynamic holographic product model, which integrate design knowledge in holographic products model in the form of information, and take effect dynamically in the design process.First, based on total life cycle, according to the different needs and interaction, the traditional design model is abstracted into a common product information model with Zero D, in concept design phase. And design knowledge is integrated in the product model in the form of information, updated dynamically, and the product is drived to the detailed design. With the reseach of the method for establishing dynamic holographic product model, dynamic holographic product model and model libraries of overhead crane bridge are established. Second, with depth study for key technology of overhead crane bridge Rapid Response Design, bridge modules are classified and combined. And with data based design instance library, hybrid reasoning method is projected to realize knowledge reasoning and reuse. According study for bridge knowledge reuse design method, bridge Rapid Response Design is realized.Finally, on the basis of the above studies, through the study for the main function modules which contain the parameter setting, model driven, engineering drawing adjustment, technology information statistics, finite element analysis, data management and borrowed, overhead crane bridge rapid response design system which is based on dynamic holographic product model is established.Through the practical application and verification in an enterprise, the system realized overhead crane bridge rapid response design, which received good effect,shortened the bridge design cycle, improved the knowledge reusing rate and the design efficiency.
