Being one of the most important public buildings, the museum tend to reflect the level of a national or regional culture and economic development, and is the focus of the contemporary Chinese urban construction wave. In this paper, from the publicity point of view, the study discusses the relationship between "the public" and "the space" in the museum. On one hand, the thesis summarizes the publicity nature of wide humanities’ connotations, and form the spatial dimension of the museum publicity concept through a combination of social science research achievements. On the other hand, this paper discuss the museum’s public evolution from macroscopical angle of the city and public areas, and concludes different public mechanism of museum space effect. Basis on these, this paper puts forward the design principles of publicity, combined with a large number of examples, and summarizes the museum to promote exchanges and required space conditions from the open state and public process aspects. Finally, combining the engineering practices of the Chinese Jade Culture Museum and Zhengzhou navigation road maintenance center, the paper discusses the specific expression of the museum’s publicity.
