Research On Landscape Design Of Small Towns’ Roadside Green Spaces In Hebei Taihang Mountain Area

At present, the roadside green spaces of small towns in China are at the stage of great development. Along with the increasing requirements for better life quality and urban environment, there is a greater challenge of the roadside green landscape design. Urban roadside green spaces are important part of the urban virescence, with the function of organizing urban transport layout, improving air quality, reducing noise pollution, and enriching landscape, to some extent, it reflects the culture and artistic taste of the town. In recent years, along with the rapid modernization of cities and towns, great improvements of mold and structure of roadside green spaces have taken place in continuous innovation. However, on the whole, it still has some prevailing defects such as the simple structure of plant species, monotonous landscape effect, low utilization rate of roadside green spaces, also the ecology function and landscape function of current roadside green spaces do not meet the needs of developping cities. Therefore, the size, design techniques, community structure and landscape function of urban roadside green spaces are needed to be further improved and enhanced.The roadside green spaces in mountain area as a composition of the unit of urban roadside green spaces are a branch of urban roadside landscape design. Also it is the key research object of improving the utilization rate of urban green spaces and at the same time representing the development level of urban roadside green landscape. Nowadays, along with the rapid economic development and the continuous improvement of people’s material and cultural level, people’s environmental awareness has been enhanced and they began to recognize the great significance of urban virescence.These days, the roadside virescence of many cities and towns’arterial traffic are no longer of the simple structure of roadside trees, instead, it has been built in banding green belt where people can rest and play as they enjoying the beautiful scenery.In the study of roadside green areas in Hebei Province, the vacancy of roadside green spaces in Taihang Mountain area has been discovered. The improving utilization and cognition on the environment of the residents living in the mountains is extremely important to the study of roadside green spaces design in Taihang Mountains. The construction of comfortable and beautiful living environment is our current task. Use the uniqueness and advantages of the mountain to further improve the function integrity and utilization of roadside green spaces in mountainous region.During this critical period, the analysis and discussion, proposed correction ,improved measures and countermeasures on the problems of the roadside green design in the small mountain town, are of great significance for the roadside green spaces in small mountain town to play their regional characteristics.Through surveys and case studies of two green spaces in Zhang gezhuang, this research use different design methods on both green spaces according to their locations in the mountain. The Taihang Mountain areas are classified into two main categories: the "mountaintop area" and "near mountain area". Roadside green spaces design is based on the two categories, proposing following countermeasures: (1) the design of the entrance and boundary (2) landscape plant configuration (3) public facilities (4) The the processing of spatial structure. This article discussed the design method of the two major landscape of roadside green spaces in Taihang Mountain from four aspects.
