The steel structure operating platform is important metro vehicle maintenanceequipment, including structural parts and security access system parts. The platform ismainly used for the worker to check the vehicles in all directions in the same period oftime with equipment and transport tools, repairing the failure aiding troubleshooting onthe vehicles. Security access system used to ensure the safety of workers byInterlocking anti-misuse program. Although the steel work platforms are already used insome yard, but the structural dimensions and technical specifications are very differentfrom the one studied by this paper, especially in security access system which need tobe redesignedThis paper studied the structure style and connection type of the operating platformfirstly in order to identify dimensions of the various parts of the steel structure, Thencalculate the stiffness, strength and stability of the main load-bearing parts such as thesupport columns, beams and stringers, Finally, calculate results of the aboveperformance are been verified and checked with the allowable stress values.According to feature that most steel components are beam rods, this paper establishthe overall steel structure finite element model by large-scale finite element analysissoftware ANSYS Workbench used the conceptual modeling methods, and carried outstatic mechanical analysis, modal analysis and seismic analysis of the model. Throughthe static analysis under dead load and live load, founding out the position of themaximum deformation and the maximum stress of the overall and specified direction,which providing a reference for engineering practice. Modal analysis is the basis ofdynamics analysis, this paper introduces the basic theory of modal analysis and carryout thirty lowest order modal analysis of the whole structure, six lowest order of thevibration type results are listed in bands. The dynamic response analysis under seismicaction of steel structures are carried out by method of time history analysis, thecalculation results and the safety factor are compared and analyzed.The linear buckling analysis and static analysis for the support column andfoundation bolt are carried out by ANSYS Workbench using the data imported from Pro/E modeling, the results are analyzed and verified.Security access control system is which through the interlocking control of theinput and output signals such as pantograph, power grids, ground vehicles and access control devices to realize safety of workers access to the system of steel operatingplatforms, including PLC control subsystem, access control subsystem, mechanicalcode lock manager subsystem, safety and warning subsystem and image monitoringsubsystem. The paper design and decorate each subsystems, and compile PLC controlprogram for the main station and slave station, realizing interlocking control andjudgment of all kinds of signal, and make the experimental model to debug the program.
