| As a popular form of the light-weight steel structures, portal frame is widely used at present. The difference between light-type steel structures and conventional ones is that many measures have been taken to reduce steel dosage as much as possible. Now, the research on controlling steel dosage focuses on adapting tapered portal frame according to the internal force of sections to save steel. However, the study standpoint will be changed in this paper. The prestress theory is employed to research portal frame structures. The steel dosage is economized by improving the internal force of structures after being prestressed.The finite element analysis software-ANSYS is used for analyzing structures with finite element in this paper, at the same time, programming with APDL. Two typical examples are offered, and many studies work on the improvement of internal force after portal frames are prestressed, have been done, and all kinds of factors affected on prestressed efficiency are analyzed detailed. According to the above analysis, a reasonable form of prestressed steel structure is presented. On the other hand, the target structure is designed over again with the new sections after being prestressed, comparing its steel dosage with that of the old sections never being prestressed. |
