The advantages of tower crane are allocating and transporting accurately construction components and building materials to anywhere whose speed and efficiency of allocation and transportation is much higher than any other kinds of cranes.However, major accidents are much possible to take place for large dynamic load which is caused by highwork focus,large crane load,fast working velocity,and high frequency of start and braking. Capsizing cases take a large proporion, which threaten the safety of constructors and bring big loss to schedule of the construction.The fault tree analysis is the most common method to analyse capsizing cases. Butit happens in the twinkling of an eye and there is not a Stereo image3D model to help scene analysis when we have field exploration and deal with testimonies. This brings puzzles to accident analyst for does not completely knowing the whole real process of accidents. Based on this, the paper put forwads the concept of virtual recurrent scene of cranecapsizing accident.High-level slewing tower crane is the study object in this paper which has a studyon recurrent the capsizing cases process by using virtual reality technique. According tothe system requirement of instantaneity and interactivity, the paper first designs thefunctions, analyses the technique route of the system, then proposes the generalstructure planning proposals of virtual reality recurrent system of tower crane capsizingaccident, and finally confirm the system development environment based on thethree-dimensional modeling software’s Pro/E,3DS MAX and Quest3D.Tower crane model is foundation of the tower crane capsizing accident virtual recurrent system implementation. The paper first introduces all kinds of components of the crane model,setting up of the accident scenario, the modification of model information and handles with applying colors to a drawing.Then it researches logic programm framebased on Quest3D virtual reality platform structure system, and uses this frame to design and develop the tower crane capsizing accident virtual recurrent system.it has researchon programm logic of the components model motion control, and according to the motion control result,realize the model of tower crane capsizing accident. Finally it designs the man-machine interaction interface based on the system users,and reaches the functional requirements of instantaneity.In the actual operation process,the system runs stably, the instructions are performe d accurately and promptly,pictures of accidents reappearance are real and smooth. The results indicate that the practical applicability is high of the tower crane capsizing accident virtual recurrent system and it has big effect on analysis of tower crane capsizing accident spot, which can help the analysis, carried out smoonthly and reduce the analysis period.
