Tower crane is important equipment in the construction. Tower crane accidentsoften can cause significant personnel and property loss, so the guard tower craneaccident is very necessary. Tower crane happen so many accident because of towercrane operator caused by improper operation, so tower crane dismantling and operatingpersonnel must be strict training. through the study of tower crane operation andassembly,disassembly of virtual reality system can be effective for the dismantling andoperator training, improve the tower crane assembly, dismantling and operatingpersonnel quality.This article mainly refer to tower crane assembly and dismantling technologyprocedures(DB50/5021-2002), on the basis of virtual reality technology, using threedimensional software3ds Max established the tower model and the virtual scene, usingvirtual reality platform Quest3D developed the tower crane virtual reality system. Papercontent mainly includes:1) According to the principle of three dimension visual generated, refer to thetechnical code for tower crane assembly and dismantling, based on the analysis of thestructure and performance on the tower crane, using3ds Max software to establishvirtual scene and the model of tower crane, and export the model into a format whichcan be compatible with Quest3D software.2) Add in the virtual scene physical properties such as lighting and camera, adjustthe surface property of scene model, increase the fidelity and immersive of virtualreality system.3) Editing the movement model of the tower crane model in Quest3D, editingmotion simulation program, simulation the whole process of tower crane operation andassembly disassembling and tower crane standard section disassembling and assembly.4) Quest3D collision detection technology is adopted to establish the system of thecollision detection system, to prevent the movement interference between tower cranemodel.5) Design the human-computer interaction interface, set the action button on thescreen, connect the interaction module and tower crane movement module, eventuallyrelease a program into*EXE executable file.
