The Hommization Design Studies Of City Outdoor Walking Space

The outdoor walking space which is the important place for people to live andcommunicate is one of the important parts of the city space.“Life begins with one step,”when our human beings are created to walk, and all kinds of activities are displayedwhen we walk in crowds. The outdoor walking space should be Comfortable andpleasant, but due to the development of the Motor traffic, the ideal framework isinterrupted. Nowadays, people have the serious consciousness of “heavy car lightpeople”,“Heaven of the pacers” has been gone forever. But now we have the right tochoose the comfortable life.The concept of hommization has been put forward in the ancient time, and theprimary concern of human nature should be their own care. To explore the design ofhumanistic walking space, which has important significance for the development of thecity and the improvement of our life, is the development demand of “the healthy city”.This paper researched the actions to promote the hommization of the outdoor citywalking space which has extensive significance to the city public life from the angle ofHumanistic Thoughts in a most close to the human scale way. The article introducedthe development history and trend of the city walking space, and expounded the basicmeaning of human nature. We can work out the main points of design which shouldsatisfy the three basic level: the basic function of walking space, the behaviorpsychology, and the aesthetic culture from summarizing the basic concepts of thewalking space and analyzing the essential feature of the pedestrians in the walkingspace. From the main points of design, the article put forward the concreteimplementation plan to the design of environment facilities in the city outdoor walkingspace, and brought the human centered concept into the frame of urban construction.The article put forward the proposal of development to the design of future urbanoutdoor walking space by analyzing the domestic and foreign outstanding cases.To solve practical problems by the research, create a satisfactory space for walking,ameliorate the environment for living, and improve the quality of life, thereby establish a vibrant, safe, sustainable and healthy city, which is the fundamental purpose andsignificance of the thesis.
