With the constant development of the Microelectronics Technology, the technology of Multi-layer Printed Circuit Board is maturer and matured. And the performance of the FADEC systems, used in the aero-engine, continues to improve, too. Nowadays, more and more electronic equip-ments’ microprocessor clock frequency are upon500MHz. The rise time and fall time of these mi-croprocessors are shorter than few picoseconds. So many designers pay attention to the importanceof the electronic controller’s PCB’s electromagnetic compatibility. The basic theories, the Maxwell’s equations, used in time-harmonic electromagnetic field, andthe Full-Wave Finite Element Method (FEM), which is wildly used in electromagnetic field, areintroduced at first. And this thesis takes the PCB for the Digital Controller as the application object. The resonant modes, the signal integrity, the frequency characteristic and the electromagnetic fieldof the PCB model are all simulated by SIwave, Ansoft Corporation’s application, from10MHz to1GHz. The frequency characteristics and electromagnetic near field of the Electronic Controller’sPCB are both tested by the EMSCAN, produced by EMSCAN Corporation, in the same frequencyrange. The thesis also points out the values of the simulation and test for the design of the PCB.The test measurement results showed a well agreement with the simulation. This thesis pro-poses a method of the prediction for the PCBs’ EMC, based on the simulation. It has important ref-erence value to the EMC design for the electronic controllers’ PCBs.
