The computing method and properties include displacement,moments andhorizontal stress of single pile,pile with cap and pile with cap composite foundationunder horizontal load have been researched by theoretical analysis and numericalsimulation,and the main works in the thesis are as follows:(1)The research status such as theoretical research, experiment research andnumerical simulation research of single pile and composite foundation under horizontalload was reviewed,and some common method to calculate pile under horizontal loadwas introduced.(2)This paper used the stress and deformation characteristic of soil and generalizedHooke law to deduce function formula of soil strength beside the pile. The parameter ofthis function formula is simple and clear,what’s more the result is similar as the Mmethod and corresponds with the rule of pile under horizontal load, The formula showsthat the soil strength is unconcerned with diameter. It provides a computing method tohorizontal load pile by new thinking.(3)The deflection differential equation of the M method was introduced,and thefinite difference method was used to solve the problem.Base on the force method instructural mechanics, a new method was been proposed to solve the pile underhorizontal load.The are no difference between the result which solved by this methodand finite difference method.(4) On the basis of the theoretical analysis of pile and the right hypothesis to cap ofpile, the computing formula of pile with cap under horizontal load has been deduced.(5)Single pile,pile with cap and composite foundation of pile with cap underhorizontal load have been simulated in this thesis,and the results of numericalsimulation provided evidence that the theoretical analysis was right. it shows that pilediameter, pile length, cap of pile, cushion and vertical load are important influencefactor of the single pile,pile with cap and pile with cap composite foundation underhorizontal load;The pile with cap composite foundation is more advantageous to controlthe horizontal displacement of pile and the moments of pile than the pile with cap,thenthe pile with cap is more advantagerous than the pile. The horizontal stress variation ofthe single pile,pile with cap and pile with cap composite foundation moving toward soilin front is related with pile displacement.The initial horizontal stress state of the soil isalso an important factor in horizontal stress.
