In the project preparation stage in Lagos Moles Repair Works of Nigeria, through frequent site inspection and assessment, it is found that there is greater uncertainty and certain risk. Many kinds of difficulties are encountered in the construction process indeed, but through four years of construction management, better economic is achieved, and also satisfied the owners and local government.It is suggested that valuable management and methods for the construction management process can be obtained through this project and also some methods how to resolve outstanding issues. It is hoped that this research can be extended to other projects in West Africa.This paper analyzed the characteristics on the current international project management. Take example for Lagos Moles Repair Works, project planning, construction techniques and construction process management are introduced in detail, in the context of the international project management theory and port jetty in Lagos restoration project characteristics and management, based on targeted for project management research, including the need for enterprises to explore overseas markets, risk analysis and management of results and experience.Through this research, the following findings were concluded:international project is a comprehensive, diverse, long cycle and high risk project. The other article on project management in West Africa have some reference, such as companies involved in international engineering projects, how to do all the preliminary work of the project, to overcome lack of acclimatization, the implementation of good project management, how to effectively protect themselves, how to maintain corporate profit maximization and so on.
