Nowadays, more and more governments try to solve the problem of energy andland recourses shortage by developing urban rail transit system, which is a criticalinfrastructure and has the great influence on city development.The paper presents the background and current situation of urban rail transit system.And then, taking three big cities of Beijing，Shanghai，Guangzhou as examples, basedon the detailed presentation, the paper sums up the land-use problems along metro linesand their causes.According to the theory of TOD and the conclusion of land-use problems, theauthority tries to find a reasonable scheme for land use planning along metro lines. Asan student in Xian，I choose the TV tower section of Xian metro line No.2as a keyresearch object. Based on the comprehensive investigation, the paper proposes someadjustment schemes on characteristics of metro station and different areas along lineNo.2on macroscopic view. On a microcosmic view, the paper makes a command andthen proposes an adjustment scheme on land use planning on TV tower section of lineNo.2, which focuses on the contradiction of the high land price and the affordablehouses, the imperfection in land use planning and the inconvenience of transfer system.Finally，the paper offers some suggestions on management strategy and policysupport in the process of land use planning along line No.2and the land use planningmethods around metro lines in different period.
