| The urban agglomeration is a sign and product when urban development reachs acertain level, which is an unique form of organization of geographical space in theprocess of urban regionalization and regional urbanization. Urban agglomerations havebecome increasingly important support for the regional economic development. Withthe rapid development of urban agglomerations, the urgent need of traffic networkingand modernization is increasingly showing. Rail transit as an important part of thenetworking and the modernizing of urban agglomeration traffic, has drawn muchattention in traffic planning and construction. At present, many mega-cities are planningand building urban rail transit system of single city. However, based on thedevelopmental patterns of urban agglomeration, how to plan the urban rail transitnetwork in an individual city of the urban agglomeration, in order to lead and fit thedevelopment of urban agglomeration, is a new question, and very worthy of study.Therefore, the study on rail transit network planning of individual urban based ondevelopmental patterns of urban agglomeration, has become increasingly pressingsignificance of theory and practice.In this paper, the developmental patterns of the urban agglomeration aresummarized, which are combined with develop status, characteristics, and revelations ofmajor foreign urban agglomerations, to analyze the characteristics and influencingfactors of domestic urban agglomerations, and summarize the development orientationsof the individual urbans within urban agglomerations. And then, the trafficcharacteristics of urban agglomeration and individual urbans are analyzed, and thetransport system functions of the different stages of development of urbanagglomeration are studied, combining the characteristics of urban agglomeration ofdifferent developmental patterns, the relationship between urban agglomeration trafficand different patterns, and the convergence of urban agglomeration traffic andindividual city traffic are ayalyzed. After that, the forecasting of external and internaltraffic demand of urban rail traffic is analyzed, whose principles and steps areintroduced later. On the basis of the studies above, the rail transit network planning ofindividual urban in the urban agglomeration is discussed. Finally, rail transit networkplanning of Huizhou city in the Pearl Triangle urban agglomeration is taken for example, and a rail transit network planning program of Huizhou city based on the developmentalpattern of the Pearl Triangle urban agglomeration is proposed by the used of the reseachresults. |
