The Study And Application Of Ship Material Code Based On Lean Shipbuilding

In recent years, Chinese shipbuilding industry has made great progress， withtransaction volume catching up with Korea and Japan, becoming the biggest shipbuildingcountry in the world. While，there are still big gaps between China and Japan, Korea inshipbuilding management and technology. Based on this, the thesis’s researches on the shipmaterial coding system and coding the material and shipbuilding information is obviouslyimperative. Reducing the shipbuilding cost and improving the production efficiency fromthe source of material purchasing is the most important basis of Lean Production and partof the CIMS.The thesis classifies almost all the shipbuilding materials and formulates the relatedcoding rules, with explanation to the corresponding code and researches on the application.Following aspects are included:Firstly, the thesis studied material code based on lean production, setting forth thebasic theory of lean production and the importance of it.Secondly, the material management system is researched in this thesis, including theway of material management, the concept of bill of material, estimated lists, with thestructure tree of purchase management and the internal process of the system.Thirdly, the thesis classifies all the ship materials into more than twenty species andrelated belongings and it also formulates the rules of classification and coding with theexplanations of every code.Fourthly, the thesis analyzed the significance of implement of material coding, inwhich integration of design, purchasing and manufacturing and the promotion of ERP areincluded.Lastly, program achievement of the described material classification is researched inthis part by C#, consisting of database and the database tables, the principle of the codinggeneration, the relevance between the material coding and the design software and also theinquiry and maintain of the coding system.
