Along with the development of economic and living standards of urban residents, thespeed of vehicle possessing quantity grows rapidly, which increase the demand ofparking, while urban parking facilities planning and construction is lagging behind.For a long time, the lack of effective management of parking demand cause theimbalance of supply-demand of parking facilities. Also, with the imperfect of theparking regulations and management measures, the phenomenon become worse andworse, which increase the stress of traffic congestion in urban. What’s more, parkingproblem seriously affected the normal operation of urban traffic system, and furtherimpact daily live of urban residents, which become a focus of the whole citymanagement. So, to relieve the conflict on supply-demand of parking is significant forrelieving traffic congestion.In this paper, combined of comprehensive traffic situation of the Developing UrbanAreas in Beijing (Shunyi, Tongzhou, Yizhuang), choose the major factors of parkingdemand, using economic, vehicle possessing quantity, vehicle trips standards and etcto analyze the parking character. And study the equilibrium of supply-demand ofparking, the equilibrium of distribution structure and the relationship of them, putforward the crux of the parking problem of the Developing Urban Areas in Beijingmetro. Then, according to economic development forecast the vehicle possessingquantity, and create parking demand forecasting optimization model. Finally, in termsof parking planning, parking management, on the basis for sustainable development,establish strategy and safeguards of parking problems, with which can relieve thecontradiction between supply and demand of parking, and ensure the safe andefficient operation of urban traffic system.
