A Study On Sustainable Design Of Modern Research And Experiment Factory

Research and experiment factory is a special type of research buildings. It hascharacteristics of research buildings and industrial factories, such as the highcost of construction, high flexibility required by functions, large energyconsumption during operation. Sustainable design to these features isnecessary. Especially the rapid development in technology today causes newdevelopments and new changes of scientific research, so that the need forbuilding adaptability and sustainability of modern research andexperiment factory is increasing. This subject mainly summarizes anddemonstrates some factors involved in sustainable design of research andexperiment factory, focusing on the implementation of its utilitydesign. Research on utility design can improve space use efficiency, extendthe reasonable service life, and make convenience for factory rebuilding andextension. Utility design is a very important part of sustainable design ofresearch and experiment factory.From the views of building type, production and research developmentrequirements, this article first combined architectural features of single-storeyfactories and research laboratories, to further clarify the characteristics of thisparticular type building research and experiment factory. And thus I summed upthe space requirements for modern research and experiment factory. Through alot of cases analysis, drawing on previous theoretical studies on flexibility andversatility of single-storey factories and research laboratories, I tried to analyzeand summarize the implementation of utility design, and proposed systems asreference for similar building design. In addition, it also involved sustainabledesign methods and strategies of structure style, enclosure components, andindoor environment. And the actual project showed how concept of sustainabledesign guided conceptual design in research and experiment factory’s design.This article is a preliminary study on Sustainable Design of Modern Research and Experiment Factory. I hope it can provide some useful reference andexperience to architects in s Sustainable Design of Modern Research andExperiment Factory, especially its utility design, and can elicit some morevaluable and significant study.
