The toroidal planet-worm drive has advantages such as low noise, high efficiency,large transmission ratio and large capacity of bearing. perfectly suitable for using in highdemanding requirements of wind power generator, compared to the traditional wind powermultilevel planetary gear drive mechanism, it also has advantage of compacter structureand smaller size. smaller weight and can transfer a larger load in a small space ,therefore,it can perform perfect if equipped on wind power generator.Firstly, This article has done the basic work of meshing theory of the toroidal planetworm drive mechanism, and gave a series of structural matching parameters which basedon the analysis of the toroidal drive meshing conditions. These work do give theoreticalsupports to further simulation analysis.Secondly, by using 3D modal software Pro/Engineer, this paper has built up 3Dmodel of the toriodal planet worm drive and simulated the movement of this mechanism.And more convenient modal interface has been founded by using Pro/Toolkit in thelanguage circumstance of C++, which has simplified the process of the model.Based on the established model, performance simulation is conducted by using AnsysWorkbench, including the static simulation, model analysis and harmonic responseanalysis. The meshing force of the mechanism, deformation, vibration displacement and aseries of properties are studied. During the research process, the Static simulation andModal analysis of different parameters and Harmonic response analysis under differentexciting force are completed.At last, according to design parameters of a modern wind power generator planetdrive, this paper conducted a toroidal drive parameters design. Meanwhile, optimumdesign is conducted by using Matlab software to optimize the volume of the mechanism.The reduction of the volume which is more than 30%...
