Lean Arrangement Method For Factory Buildings And A Study For Its Application At A Specific Site

The personalized market environment prompts the development of multi-species and small-quantity production, and the lean production becomes a good way for fabricate factories with multi-species and small-quantity production, which subjects to a higher requirement on factory building arrangement. This study focuses on the Lean management of factory buildings, in order to solve the problem of tight land resources, find the minimum buffer stock and productive cycle. Its main contents are summarized as follows.1. Depend on the the research, pointed out the difficulty of the lean arrangement method for factory buildings.2. Expatiated the conventional facility management methods, and addressed the existing problems. Focusing on the lean objective, Studied the relationship between delivery time and production cycle, the relationship between production cycle and product stock, and the affect on finding the bottleneck of production from Value Stream Map(VSM). The object and the principle of building arrangement, as well as the selection of optimization objective was also discussed.3.Studied for lean arrangement method for factory buildings and discussed some key aspects.Base on the lean production, maked suggestions to improve the conventional facility management methods.By VSM,base on the method of SLP,summarized A flow diagram of lean arrangement for factory buildings. Studied the overall logistic pattern, including the deployment of logistic doors, warehouse distribution (centralized or dispersed).4. Real case study was conducted on the factory building arrangement for an auto spare parts company. The production condition was analyzed by the method of VSM. The arrangement of factory buildings was improved by applying the summarized method on factory building lean management as well as the study results on the key aspects on arrangement.
