Traditional manufacturing industry must keep abreast with the surging waves of the new media for improving its own quality,velocity,people and cost.X Company is one of the leading players to make components for machine facilities.It is dedicated to making high quality products.Caterpillar(China)Machinery Components Co.,Ltd(X)Caterpillar(CAT),set up wholly-owned enterprises,mainly produces hydraulic-valve,hydraulic-pump,hydraulic-cylinder,operation station,hose assembly and transmission parts supplied to Caterpillar’s Group subsidiaries and the machine facility.Face the landscape of demand soaring after recession in 2016 and 2017,rising reputation in market and improve the production appearance of the OSF factory defects,reduce rework cost,shorten production cycle is our main targets.However,as a foreign competitor,X company has taken the advantages of government subsidies,low labor cost,still seek the opportunities to import digital methods to keep it in a good momentum and more cost-effective and competitive.Abundant materials and surveys will be supported by Lean theory,big data system and that will be hired for our projects.The OSF(operational station facility)will be selected as the sample.This paper will highlight the following aspects.1.Have an overview and detailed impression of the current OSF facility,through Quality and Velocity.2.How to promote Lean Theory and Big data system in manufacturing,three projects include RFID,Stop to fix,and Smart Hub will be introduced.3.The project results will be evaluated for the further digital plant reference.
