Cultivated land is important artificial ecosystem, can satisfy all sorts of basichuman needs, in addition to providing food and vegetables with agriculturalproduction function outside, still have purifing air, adjusting the climate,preventing soil erosion, to safeguard biodiversity, and many other function ofecosystem services. But in the current economic development mode still mainlyfocus on the economic value of cultivated land resources, lack of consider itsecological and social value. On one hand, agricultural the ground turns to use theland for urban construction quantity increased year by year. On the other hand,chasing the short-term economic benefit producers, pesticide, fertilizer is notreasonable use, also the cultivated land ecological system’s vulnerability and thepossibility of land degradation performance is more and more obvious.In the quantity of cultivated land under the background of balance, how isthecultivated land productivity and the benefits of cultivated land resources is thecurrent theoretical focus of concern. This paper on the one hand use ecologicalcompensation theoretical basis for the basis, define the concept of cultivated landecological compensation mechanism, and emphasizes the cultivated landecological compensation and the necessity and urgency, enrich the cultivated landresource field study of the theory of the ecological compensation, on the otherhand on the analysis of the cultivated land resources at home and abroad on thebasis of current situation of ecological compensation, foreign successfulexperience in ecological compensation, from the economic, legal, institutional andput forward some view of cultivated land protection practical ecologicalcompensation suggestions to make cultivated land resources to ecological,economic and social benefits of harmonious and unified.
