Combination machine with a multi-tool machining is widely used in massproduction, fast and efficient, its technical performance and integrated automation leveldetermine the production efficiency and product quality, and ultimately decided themarket competitiveness of the products. Recent years, the development of NC modularmachine is quickly, but most combination machine tools of our country’s enterprise arestill using traditional technology. In order to adapt to the needs of the market and thedevelopment direction of vitalizing the numerical control system, this paper focuses onthe development of the numerical control system structure, analyzes the features ofPMAC, combines with the structure characteristics of the PC and PMAC combinationform open CNC system of combination machine tools. The main research contents areas follows:1. Introduce the status and development of NC technology,explain the open CNCsystem is the inevitable development trend, the current situation and the trend ofcombination machine tools.2. Analyze the structure performance of the system control core PMAC, combinedwith the characteristics of modular machine tools, design the hardware and softwarestructure, build the IPC+PMAC open NC system platform.3. Adjust the system’s parameters by using PMAC’s application systemdevelopment tools PEWIN32;with the help of advanced language VC++6.0development tools, design man-machine interface which is suitable for thecharacteristics of numerical control system; with the aid of PMAC own Pcomm32communication driver and Pcomm32. DLL dynamic link library realize human-machineinteraction function.4. Combined with numerical control system function characteristics, write PLCcontrol program to realize the automatic control of the numerical control systemfunction. Design parametric programming method, without the G-code programming,and improve work efficiency.5. Establish digital error model of combination machine tools system, use PIDcontroller adjust the system control parameters to ensure that the system has goodsteady state characteristics and dynamic characteristics, improve the machining accuracy of the combination machine tools.
