Bio-diesel is produced from Comus wilsoniana oil,and the optimums conditionsof esterification with Cormus wilsoniana oil were studied. Moreover,the pour pointdepressant is produced.(1) In this paper the process for Comus wilsoniana oil to production bio-diesel wasstudied.The optimums conditions of esterification with Cormus wilsoniana oil werestudied by designing orthogonal experiments: the molar ratio of alcohols is and oil6:1,the amount of catalyst1.2%, the reaction time90min and reaction temperature70℃.and under such conditions,the biodiesel production rate was83.56%.It shows that thefuel characteristics of the bio-diesel,processed by the transesterification of Commswilsoniana oil,are the same as that of diesel.But the bio-diesel is safety(flashpoint>105℃),clean (ash<0.003)and reproducible.(2) Stearyl methacrylate-maleic anhydride-styrene-vinyl acetate copolymers usedas diesel pour point depressant were synthesized by solution-polymerized,and thestructure of these products were analysed by IR. The best condition for reactivepolymerization had been ascertained by orthogonality experiment. The result showedthat the amount of initiator was1.0%according to the weight of the monomersreactants, the amount of solvent was80%, the reaction time was7h, and reactiontemperature was80℃. Oil samples containing0.5%of the polymerization showed a5℃reduction in cold filter plugging point.(3) There was good synergistic effect on synthesized improvers and VPL10-305. Theeffect of compounds on cold filter plugging point was better than that of the single.The cold filter plugging point was respectively decreased7℃.
