With the introduction of triple play national policy and business transformation of thedomestic telecom companies, telecom operators have ushered in new opportunities andchallenges. The telecom companies’ variety customer data is a very valuable resource, whichcontains a huge business opportunity. We should use an effective means of mining useful datafor operators to provide a strong basis for decision making.Data mining, also known as knowledge discovery in databases is a fundamental step inknowledge mining, data mining is a complex process of digging out the unknown andvaluable mode of knowledge extracted from large data. For the communications industry, datamining is a mathematical model to analyze a large number of customer data stored in theenterprise to identify the different customers or market segments, and analyze customerspending preferences and behavior. While the success stories of data mining technology in the country is not much, especially in the communications industry is relatively small, but data mining can take fulladvantage of the large amount of historical data generated by its business support systems, toachieve deep processing and handling of information has become communication enterprisesis the focus of system construction.Daqing oil field communications companies along with the development of the DaqingOilfield was born, after50years of development, has become the country’s largest corporateprivate network, but also the Daqing region’s largest telecom operators. The beginning of thisyear, Daqing Oilfield communication networks, enterprise networks, cable TV triple-play, toachieve the integration of resources, so that the oil field communications become available tothe public voice, broadband, PHS, cable TV, GPS, and other business full-service provider. The oil field has accumulated vast amounts of customer data communications in the processof business operations, but no further use of these data resources to be At present, the Daqingoil field communications business analysis function of the system is relatively simple, andprovide monthly, quarterly and annual production of the statements of operations, by artificialmeans by a particular demand for organizing data. Not so much a business analysis system, asit is a reporting system. From the existing system is not able to analyze the trend of whichsome users off-grid off-grid because of what, which part of potential business spending power.Able to provide the data basis, but still far from reaching the degree of decision support, youcan not take full advantage of the valuable data resources available. The topics of this paper is to study how to use data mining techniques, found that usersfrom the mass of business accounting data, spending habits, consumer demand and otheruseful knowledge, and used to support the leadership of the company’s business decisions. Inthis thesis, the methodology of data mining, analysis theme for commercial understanding, preparing the training data set and validation data sets, data preprocessing, model building andmodel evaluation using the calibration data set, and thus the loss of customers, The marketingresponse analysis of the three themes of the customer segmentation model, through thematicanalysis of the model provide a strong basis for the company decision-making. Lookingthrough the writing of this thesis, learning and summarize the general process of data miningand modeling program, the application of learning to the practical work, and the next work.
