Shandong Province, located in east of China coast, it is a typical warm temperate climate. The province’s mountains and hills are the skeleton, plains and basins staggered out. Due to the efforts of our predecessors, the bryophyte study of Shandong Province has achieved great development, but the liverworts taxonomy developed fastly, more and more new species, new records are reported, and the classification system is also redrawed, so, this study committed that the liverworts study of Shandong Province can get development and progress, and this research can provide new materials to the liverworts study of China. The liverworts specimens of this study are about600in all, consist of two parts, one of the specimens are collected from1984to1992, and the others are collected from2008to2012, all the liverworts specimens are collected by professor Zhao Zun-tian et al. Based on the identification,74species,2subspecies and4varieties in34genera of25families were identified, and7species,3genera and1families are reported to Shandong Province for the first time. The liverworts flora of Shandong Province is divided into9geographical elements, North Temperate element accounts for45.95%, East-Asia element accounts for33.78%, at the same time, it also has some tropical affinities and China endemism, the result accords to the location and climate characteristics of Shandong Province.Compare the liverworts flora between Shandong Province’s, Northeast China’s, Qinling Mountain’s, Mongolia’s and Hebei Province’s, find that liverworts flora of Shandong Province’s holds close relationship with Hebei Province’s, and holds far relationship with Mongolia’s, the result also accords to the location and climate characteristics of Shandong Province. The liverworts flora in Shandong Province before1998and that after2008are studied. By comparison, it is found that the number of liverworts species reduced significantly in the past10years. The environmental factors’(such as temperature, precipitation, sea level, soil, water and atmosphere) changes and human impacts are analyzed to explain the phenomenon, so as to avoid the further extinction of liverworts.Study the medicinal value, landscaping value, environmental monitoring value, water and soil conservation value of liverworts from Shandong Province, in order to provide the basic data for the exploitation and utilization of the liverworts.
