With the development of regional integration, GDP development in Chongqing city has grown rapidly, but it also brings a series of ecological and environmental problems at the same time. How to follow a "resource-saving and environment-friendly" scientific development path, and find the equilibrium point between economic development and ecological environment is a topic paid attention by more and more people and also an important strategy for future regional development. This paper takes ecological services value calculation method as main research method; improves ecological services value table of per unit area of the Chinese terrestrial ecosystem to calculation model according to the particularity and present situation of the study area; takes the following steps when equivalent factor changes according to the characteristics of the study area:the arable corresponding farmland; waters corresponding waters; doesn’t estimate the economic value of the ecosystem services for the construction land of the residents in accordance with Costanza’s estimation methods,, divides the construction land into urban land, industrial land and transportation land, and calculates each different ecosystem service value; the woodland corresponding forest; grassland corresponding grassland.According to land change survey data of Chongqing City from1996to2010, this paper verifies and supplies the results by looking for the Statistical Yearbook of Chongqing City from1996to2010, economic development data, and other information. We get the land use changes from1996to2010by reclassifying according to the above principles, then calculate the ecological services value (ESV) of the study area with the improved ecological services value table of per unit area of the Chinese terrestrial ecosystem. From1996to2010, the area of arable land has reduced586,497hm2, unused land has reduced544,319hm2, the rest of the land use types have increased. According to the index we chose for the calculation of the ESV, we get the following figures:the ecosystem service value of arable land, urban land, industrial land and the land difficult to use decreased respectively for3,5860billion yuan,985,6million yuan and202,2million yuan; the woodland ecosystem service value increased14,0207billion yuan, the ecosystem services value of the waters increased2,620.70million yuan, the grassland ecosystem services value increased of822,40million yuan. Analysis of the ecosystem service value from the three economic regions, and for the whole study area and three regional promotion of ecosystem service value recommendations. Overall, ecosystem services value of the study area was increasing, ESV/GDP were of a downward trend; when the ecosystem service value increases, the GDP also increases, but because of the regional GDP increases rapidly, the ESV and GDP growth are disproportionate. It was also closely related to the population growth. They change in the same direction to. Although there is no causal relationship between the ESV and population, population growth will indirectly affect the lifting of the ESV. From the ratio histogram of the ESV and population, we know that the data of the study area is approximately the same year after year in the selected study period in this article. Chongqing’s economic develops rapidly, and the total economy is relatively large. This study shows that the production value resulting in the land resources is not in proportion to ecological value.Chapter1introduces the background of the topics, the research progress of the ecosystem services value at home and abroad, the research content and technology route; Chapter2introduces the concept of the ecosystem services value, the significance of evaluation, calculation method and the difficulties and research directions of future research; Chapter3describes the overview of the study area, Chapter4concentrates on the selection of evaluation indicators and the establishment of database; Chapter5presents the evaluation of ecosystem service in Chongqing and analysis the reasons from the scale of the districts and counties and the three major economic regions; Chapter6is about the statistics, correlation analysis and significance test of the ESV, GDP and population changes; Chapter7summarizes the results of this study.
