With the development of society and economy, the contradiction between human needs and environmental resources intensified. Irrational human activities caused a significant change in the Earth’s surface system, leading to more acute global environmental problems. Land use/cover change significantly changed in the global and regional scales, is the most direct form of expression of the interaction between human activities and the natural environment, has become one important part of global environmental changes and main driving force. And by changing the structure and function of the ecosystem to play a decisive role on maintain its services. Therefore, strengthen the global ecology research focused on LUCC, explore the temporal evolution pattern of LUCC, and give a reasonable estimate of the ecosystem service value on the basis. And then reveal what impacts of LUCC play on the ecosystem service value and the interaction between them. It helps to deepen the understanding of interrelation between population and land, and has became hot topic in related research field. In this paper, Jiangyou city in the northwest of the Sichuan Basin as the study area, based on its 1992,2000,2013 interpretation remote sensing data, Combined with a variety of thematic maps and socio-economic statistics of the study area, in the support of ENVI 5.1and Arc GIS 10.0,extract 3year’s land use/cover type of Jiangyou city, create a land use and cover change data database; Referring to the various valuation methods of ecological services at home and abroad, have a revise on Gaodi Xie etc’s ecological services evaluation model. Then estimate the ecosystem service value of Jiangyou city using the revised ecosystem service evaluation model. Finally, analyze the ecosystem service value’s response to land use/cover change, it has a good reference and promotional value for the study of the surrounding mountains of the Sichuan Basin. The results show that:Firstly, the land use types of Jiangyou city are mainly farmland and woodland. In the past 21 years, there is a significant change in LUCC, mainly in the significant change in various types of land use number, structure and spatial distribution. Showing the characteristics on number of sustained reduction of arable land, continued increasing of construction land and the waters, and generally remained total number balance of woodland and grassland. Different time shows different land-use change feature: 1992-2000, farmland, woodland and grassland area was reduced, increased of the water and construction area, a smaller change of unused land. 2000-2013, arable land continued to decline, construction land continued to grow, and woodland, grassland, water area showed a small increase. Among them, the construction land showed the most intense dynamic changes, and it’s the fastest extension land class. In space, various land use types in the study area is mainly distributed in the slope level one(0°~6°) and level two(6°~15°), with the increase of the slope, the various types of land showing a decreasing trend.Secondly, in the past 21 years, the value of ESV in Jiangyou city showed an overall downward trend. Reduced from 42.46 × 108 yuan of the early stage of study to 42.01 × 108 yuan in the end of the study, total of 0.45 × 108 yuan. However, changes are different at different times. It was reduced in 1992-2000, reduced the value of ecosystem services from 42.16 × 108 yuan to 41.02 × 108 yuan, a decrease of 1.14 × 108 yuan.2000-2013 was a period of growth, the value of ecosystem services increased 0.99× 108 yuan.Thirdly, the ESV in Jiangyou city was inelastic, different land use types vary widely. Value change rates reflect changes of forest area had a greater impact on ESV change in the study area. 1992, 2000, 2013’s ecosystem service value of forest, respectively occupied 64.77%, 64.41% and 67.79% of the total value.Forth, ESV in small and medium-scale is more sensitive to land use change. Which the woodland contributed most to ecosystem service value, it’s the decisive variable of added value. Its contribution rate of the construction land to ecosystem service was the smallest; it’s the most important limited variable. In the future, there is a need to strengthen the woodland, arable land, water and other ecosystem’s protection, in the meantime drawing a rational planning for construction land especially industrial land’s expansion scale. It has important meaning to promote land use and harmonious development of ecosystem.
