Since the1980s, teacher professional development has become an importanttrend of international education reform, one of the hot issues which has beenconcerned and discussed by workers both in educational theory and educationalpractice. With the development of the study on teacher professional development, as apart of professional development—teachers’ professional knowledge, as become animportant field and major theoretical question in pedagogy research. With the newbasic education curriculum reform of development, the primary school education ofthe education quality more and more people’s attention.Because the whole educationsyste is the primary school education important foundation, primary school educationquality directly affects the student to the later development.So on this researcheducation major students in primary school of the elementary school mathematicsteacher’s professional knowledge and its sources survey and analysis.The primary school education professional Northeast Normal Universityfreshman to senior grade teachers and the Capital Normal University educationprofessional grade three primary school teachers who as the research object, theprimary school mathematics teacher of their professional knowledge to conduct aninvestigation. Research methods are based on the questionnaire. Questionnaire was amathematical education experts and rich experience of mathematics teachercompiled, according to the education theory knowledge, general course knowledge,mathematics course knowledge, mathematical subject knowledge and mathematicalsubject knowledge teaching method in five dimensions of the theoretical framework.The questionnaire is divided into three sections.The first part is about grade andgender, background information content. The second part is the formal teacherknowledge test. Include five aspects of content: the education theory knowledge,general course knowledgee, a course of mathematics curriculum knowledge,knowledge of mathematical subject and mathematics teaching knowledge. The thirdpart is a source of teachers’ professional knowledge of the investigation.The mainfour major source of knowledge, that is, education theory knowledge, primary schoolmathematics course knowledge, primary school mathematics knowledge and theprimary school mathematics teaching knowledge.The Study shows:1.The primaryschool education major students in education theory knowledge,general courseknowledge, and mathematics course knowledge in the rise and improve as thestudents. And in mathematics knowledge, senior scores higher than other grade.2.The subject of mathematics teaching in knowledge, a junior score is much higher than inother grade.3.The Capital Normal University and the Northeast Normal Universitycontrast research shows that, the Northeast Normal University students in grade threeis superior to the Capital Normal University on the total score of education theoryknowledge, general course knowledgee, mathematics course knowledge, mathematicsteaching knowledge.4.Education trainee practice and teaching mathematics class isthe primary school education major students improve math teachers’ professionalknowledge of the most important sources.
