In this thesis, according to the investigations in Qingdao Bay from Dec.2010to Oct.2011, the macrobenthic species composition, abundance, biomass, biodiversities, and secondary production were analyzed. The characteristics of the benthic ecology of Qingdao Bay intertidal zone were summarized. By comparison with historical data, the change of the macrobenthos in Qingdao Bay intertidal zone was analyzed.1. In the survey,166species were identified. These species belong to Coelenterata, Platyhelminthes, Nemertinea, Annelida, Echiura, Sipuncula, Mollusca, Arthropoda, Brachiopoda, Echinodermata, and Chordata. Polychaeta contributed most to the species composition. There is a certain degree of variation in the number of species of each station. In A1, A2, A3and B3, the species in winter are more than the other seasons’, and, the species in summer are less than the other seasons. In B1and B2, the species in winter and summer are more than the other seasons.2. The total mean abundance in Qingdao Bay intertidal zone is20153.4ind./m2, ranging from7018.7to39877.3ind./m2in each month, and ranging from3027.6to50169.8ind./m2in each station. Average abundance in each month is high. Average abundance in spring and winter is lower than in summer and autumn. Polychaeta contributed most to the average abundance. The abundance of macrobenthos in Qingdao Bay intertidal zone shows a trend to decrease from high intertidal zone to low intertidal zone.3. The total mean biomass in Qingdao Bay intertidal zone is126.36g.wwt/m2, ranging from100.43to197.54g.wwt/m2in each month, and ranging from16.28to 229.75g.wwt/m2at each station. Average biomass in each month is high. Mollusca contributed most to the average biomass. The biomass of A transect is higher than the B transect, and the biomass of mid intertidal zone is higher than the other intertidal zone. The sequence of the average biomass is A2>B2>A3>A1>B1>B3.4. The most important dominant species of Qingdao Bay intertidal zone are U. thomasi, Rhychospio sp.,R.philippinarum,C. capitata and C. tentaculata. The IRI index of these five species are high in each month.5. The Shannon-Wiener diversity index shows a trend to increase from high intertidal zone to low intertidal zone. This shows that environment gradually improved from high intertidal zone to low. The high intertidal zone is moderately polluted, the mid intertidal zone is mildly polluted, and the low intertidal zone is clean.6. The secondary production of macrobenthos in Qingdao Bay intertidal zone is29.506g(AFDW)/(m2.a), P/B was1.435. Except B3, the secondary production of the others is very high. In the top10, there are4Mollusca and6Polychaeta. U. thomasi and R. philippinarum contributed most to the secondary production.7. The macrobenthos of Qingdao Bay intertidal zone can be grouped into2communities.The most important factor is Grain size8. The conclusion drawn by ABC curve is consistent with the result from diversity index. The environment of Qingdao Bay intertidal zone gradually improved from high intertidal zone to low.
