With the increasingly serious non-point pollution problem, developing countries and developed countries all pay much attention to the research of non-point pollution study, the way of GIS and non-point pollution model completely combination been widely used. Complex models algorithm can make full play of GIS spatial data analysis, management, display function; And GIS display function allows the visual effect of model haven significant change. Therefore, we should be based on GIS to study non-point deeply, so that the nutrient runoffs and its pollution situations can be timely treatment and prevention.Taihu Lake is the country’s second largest freshwater lake, has much important function, and also is the drink water source of Wuxi city. Taihu lake basin surrounding rapid economic development, utilization of resources of Taihu lake, to cause extra strong eutrophication situation is severe, and restricts the sustainable development of the peripheral especially Wuxi. This needs to be in control of the eutrophication of Taihu Lake basin also strengthening non-point pollution research work. Therefore, based on the non-point pollution theoretical basis, using GIS secondary development, the component ArcGIS Engine, and visual language C#,started developing programming, design and realize the Taihu Lake basin non-point pollution load estimation system.1) Introduced the research background, research purpose and significance of the research, Expounds the non-point pollution with GIS in the domestic and foreign research situation and development; determine the research content of this paper and the study of the technical route.2) Analyzed the key technology of system development. Indeed analysising the GIS, especially ArcGIS second development way, selected a proper ArcEngine components as development tools, Analysis of the spatial database technology, further analyzed the GIS with the combination of non-point pollution model, and determine the research selected model and its parameters. 3) Made a detail design. From the function and logical the two aspects designed the whole system structure; Adopt ArcEngine components as development technology, combined with c#, framing system; On the system, detailed design the function module and the interface including five modules:GIS basic function module, SCS curve equation module, USLE module, pollution load modules and spatial analysis module.4) Based on the data of Wuxi city in2005, using non-point pollution load estimation system applied in empirical research, and verifies the feasibility and practicability of system.5) Operated the System, getting the following conclusions:in2005, Wuxi Taihu region for urban non-point TN emissions2594.316t/a, TP emissions368.915t/a. Among them, dissolve modal N, P accounts for TN, TP load proportion of53.85%and88.73%, respectively. Among them, TN, TP of the urban construction land emissions to achieve maximum, agricultural land emissions in the first place.
