The Research And Implementation Of Rich Client Platform Of The Meteorological GIS Based On Flex

The Meteorology Geographic Information System is a combination of meteorology and GIS. As the Internet continues to grow and the strengthening of the awareness of public weather, the demand for meteorological information and meteorological department of meteorological data sharing, the use of meteorological data and meteorological data release have higher requirements. RIA (Rich Internet Applications, Rich Internet application) technology provides a new Web application solutions, has brought new development opportunities to meteorological GIS network applications, achieve more intuitive and effective services. Flex is one of the mainstream technology of the currentdevelopment of RIA, traditional meteorological GIS software is not conducive to the sharing of meteorological data, the speed of display data is slow, scalability of system is low. With the research of Flex technology, I can design a framework of the meteorological GIS rich Client Platform base Flex technology.The paper first analyzes the Flex technology and the research of Meteorology GIS, and given the key technologies and routes of research and methods by current situation of research. Second, with the overview of the development of rich client technology and the advantages of the Flex technology,I select Flex as used in this article, and analyze the basic structure and operation mechanism of the Flex technology. with analysis of the shortcomings of meteorological GIS software at home and abroad on current status, I put forward a framework of a meteorological GIS Rich Client Platform base Flex technology, and design modules, and analyze and solve the difficulty of t he platform. Finally, I will make a demo for meteorological GIS rich client platform, verified the following points is feasible: Flex technology can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of display meteorological data, the datautomatically updates and prompt that can increase the response speed. The research provide a rich Client Platform of meteorological GIS base on Flex,which use easily and can be extended for meteorologists, weather emergency command and public meteorological service.
