Intelligence Computer Assisted Instruction (ICAI) System is highlighted in the field of education. The current research attempts to integrate theories and technologies of ICAI into the course of College Physics and develop an Intelligence Computer Assisted Instruction system of College Physics,And promote teaching reform of College Physics, improve the quality and effectiveness of their teaching.The system of this text guided by the principles of software engineering, with the tools of Visual Basic and Access Database as well as the framework of Client/Service (C/S), the newly designed system has the functions of user management,exercise management, teaching plan management and testing paper management.The current research focuses on the designing of ICAI for Physics. ICAI is designed with the insights drawn from the theories of the module theory, cognition theory and framework theory. The system is divided into three sections:instruction contents section, students’section and teachers’section.①Instruction contents section includes exercises and teaching pans. The contents are divided into knowledge points according to the teaching curriculum and then the points are coded and grouped into different chapters. Finally, correlations between knowledge points are found out. Teaching plans are designed in three levels:low, medium and advanced according to the number and difficulties of the knowledge points they incorporate. Exercises are designed to test the knowledge points which are coded, to guarantee the design of the teaching strategy base.②In Students’Section, cognition is classified into6types according to Bloom’s classification: cognition, comprehension, mastery, summarization, application and evaluation. After the instruction, results are to be analyzed, errors to be identified and students to be graded in terms of cognition.③In teachers’section, results are to be analyzed in terms of number of answered exercises, average time and percentage of right answers and specific suggestions are to be given for individual students. The current research is featured and highlighted by the integration of1CAI system with the course of Physics, and its satisfaction of the needs. Moreover, with good extension; theoretical studies based on real development of the system, and the system has been put into use, the application of better prospects; system was developedcontains two different versions:stand-alone version of the PC-based and network-based C/S version, its adaptation to a wider scope; strong expansion of the system can be a secondary development, and applied to other courses.
