Recently accidents about dead and injured people and property loss are becoming moreand more frequently because of landslide hazards and it is catching people’s more and moreattention. This paper is based on the study of the development conditions, geologicalenvironment, distribution regulation and the main affecting factors of the landslides. Thelandslide hazard evaluation research in Chencang district was finished by2levels such as (1:50000survey data) and key areas (1:10000survey data). Through theses studies, the majorprogress and conclusions are obtained in this thesis as follows:(1) Based on the survey data of landslide hazards in Chencang district of Baoji City,analysed the landslide disaster type and their distribution characteristic in research area,studied the main factors for the formation of landslide hazards such as landform, stratumlithology, geological structure, rainfall, hydrological and geological conditions, humanengineering activities and earthquakes;(2) Selected the topography, engineering geological rock group, geological structure,slope gradient, slope, elevation, land use type, peak ground acceleration, rainfall and humanengineering activities as the main effect index, preliminarily built the landslide hazardevaluation index system in Chencang district of Baoji City;(3) By using the comprehensive information method based on GIS, the landslide hazardsin Chencang district of Baoji City are divided into an extreme high risk area, high risk area,moderate risk area, low risk area and extreme low risk area. Finished the landslide hazard riskevaluation in Chencang district of Baoji City by using the information quantity modelevaluation method;(4) By applying the factor weighted overlay model evaluation method, used the sameevaluation index as the regional landslide hazard evaluation, and properly adjusted accordingto the different key areas, by using the AHP, two key areas of the landslide hazard evaluationin Chencang district of Baoji City such as the Baozhong line loess distribution section and Longhai line bedrock distribution section were finished.
