Climate warming caused by increase of greenhouse gases has become indispute facts.During last250years, CO2concentration increased by31(±4)%. Most CO2concentration wascontributed by human activities. Land use released136(±50)~156Pg C CO2into theatmosphere, accounted for1/3carbon emission caused by human activities. Therefore, studying carbon emission under land use and analyzing carbon emission change trend canprovide theoretical base for reducing carbon emission, which has important implications toclimate change mitigation.Based on previous research results about carbon emission, the paper analyzed carbonemission's trend and spatial difference in Guanyuan City, Sichuan Province. The dataincluded land use and energy consumption from1990to2010. Then relationships betweencarbon emission and economic development, industry structure and low carbon policies wereexplored. At last, measures about controlling carbon emission were put forward. Mainconclusions were as follows:(1)The mass of regional carbon emission increase obviously, from2105to3976104tbetween1990and2010, and the increasing extent of the mass of regional carbon emissionwas88.88%. According to the increase tendency of the mass of regional carbon emission, which increased to4000104t approximate in future years of Guangyaun City, Sichuanprovince.(2)Different type of Land Use played different performances in carbon source orcarbon sink. In Guangyuan City, Sichuan province, land of construction was one of the maincarbon source, the mass of regional carbon emission of land of construction accounts for thetotal regional carbon emission of99%. The biggest carbon sink was forest land, and thecapacity increase during the last20years. The mass of regional carbon emission ofconstruction land from2732104t of1990year to4911104t of2010year, and the averageannual growth rate was108.95104t. The lowest value of the mass of carbon emission was593104t in the year of1990, and the highest value was936104t in the year of2010, and the rateof increase was57.84%. The total carbon sink of water area, grassland and unutilized land offset mainly the total carbon emission. The mass of carbon emission of forest land, waterarea, grassland and unutilized land was low.(3)There was prominent spatial differentiation of the mass of carbon emission in theGuangyuan City, Sichuan province. In the light of administrative division, Lizhou District hadthe highest value of the mass of carbon emission, and the average annual growth rate was1603.8104t, while Qingchuan Country had the lowest value of the mass of carbon emission, and the average annual growth rate was13104t. The mass of carbon emission of JiangeCountry,Cangxi Country and Wangchang Country was the mean level and steady in thecompass of competency of Guangyuan City, the average annual growth rate was between thevalue of300and500104t. The mass of regional carbon emission of Chaotian District andYuanba District increased rapidly, and had interannual variability(4)With growth of GDP, Carbon emission amount increased, but different GDP scaleleaded to different increase rate of carbon emission. When GDP scale was small, the amountof carbon emission had a high speed increase. While GDP scale was large, the amount ofcarbon emission had a slow speed increase. Low carbon policies implemented in GuangyuanCity had a great effect on reducing carbon emission. The first industry and carbon emissionsin Guangyuan City was negatively related, while the second industry, the third industry andcarbon emissions was positively related. The correlation between carbon emissions and thirdindustry is higher.(5)In future, measures to reduce carbon emission should be implemented. First, regionaldevelopment spatial distribution should be clear. Then, we should optimize industrydevelopment spatial distribution and set up low carbon development support system to controlcarbon emission.
