Research On Agricultural Product International Competitiveness Of Northeast China

China is not only the largest agricultural producer and consumer, is also an important exporter of agricultural products in the world. By slashing and abolishing tariffs and import quota to reduce the market access standard, China has much more opened domestic markets after entering the WTO. On the one hand, it has provided a good environment for agricultural technology interflow and cooperation of our country, is good for our country agriculture development; On the other hand, our country agricultural products enter the international market and compete for the market share with the overseas agricultural products, at the same time, the massive overseas agricultural products with excellent in quality and reasonable in price emerge the domestic market, which possibly arises substitution effect of overseas import agricultural products to the home producing agricultural products, thus our country's agricultural products encounter an unprecedented shock. Facing the huge pressure and challenges, it is more important to how to promote the competition of agricultural product of China in the international market and prevent the impacts of import agricultural product to China's domestic market.The Northeast area (including Heilongjiang Province, Jilin Province, Liaoning Province), its agriculture holds a very important status in the whole country. It is always our country's important production base of commodity grain, is known as "granary", The entire area agricultural population accounts for 66.4% of this area total population, there are 2/3 crops sown area for planting grain crops,62% farmers get income depending on planting the grain. The grain, livestock products and so on in the Northeast area, always take North Korea and South Korea, Japan, Russia, Mongolia as the main export markets, are the important economic cooperation content with the Northeast Asia. On basis of meeting the domestic needs, the Northeast area constantly should enhance its competitive advantage by use of comparative advantage of agricultural products, in order to promote exports of agricultural products. The enhancing of agricultural product international competitiveness of the Northeast area is not only advantageous to resolve the problem of our "three issues of farmers, agriculture & countryside", and promote to built well-off society, it is but also advantageous to achieve the goal of the Northeast Asia socialistic new country construction.Based on the theory of comparative advantage and the Porter's international competitiveness and the research of domestic and international on international competitiveness of agricultural products, combined with production and export status of agricultural products in Northeast area, this paper analyses influencing factors of agricultural international competitiveness by utilizing Porter's diamond model, according to the import and export data, selects international market share, revealed comparative advantage index and the trade competitiveness index to evaluate the international competitiveness of agricultural products in Northeast area, and finally based on the above analysis, puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to improve the international competitiveness of agricultural products of Northeast area.
