The Study Of Agricultural Product International Competitiveness And Its Influencing Factors In Shandong Province

Shandong province as the largest Chinese agricultural exports provinces,its agricultural products exports account for about a quarter of China agricultural products,for 13 years has consistently ranked first in the country,it has a pivotal position in the Chinese market.But in recent years,the international competitiveness of agricultural products advantage is no longer evident in Shandong Province To sustain a competitive advantage ot the agricultural products in Shandong Province,we must find out the reason for the decline advantage.So,it is signifacant to Study on agricultural international competitiveness and its influencing factors in Shandong Province.The article based on comparative advantage theory and competitive advantage theory,used export market share(IMS),Revealed Comparative Advantage(RCA)index,measured the competitiveness of agricultural products in Shandong Province.At the same time,according to the definitions and metrics of intra-industry trade(IIT)and dominant Comparative advantage(RCA)index,and use the study of Cheng Hongli(2008)for reference.Put the relationship of the Index of Intra-industry Trade and Industrial international Competitiveness into four classes,according to the trade level of high or low.we can draw a conclusion,the agricultural trade is mainly intra-industry trade and the export market share of the overall rise in the international market and with strong international competitiveness but competitive advantage is not obvious in Shandong Province.In the five main export agricultural products of Shandong Province,fruits,vegetables,aquatic products has stronger international competitiveness;Animal by-products and edible oilseeds international competitive advantage is not obvious.In the article according to the diamond model selected X1 Crop planting area;X2proportion of primary industry;X3 education level;X4 actual use of foreign investment in agriculture;X5 per capita GDP;X6 added value of primary industry GDP;X7 town Engel coefficient;X8 rural Engel coefficient;X9 agricultural machinery total power;X10 fertilizer use;X11 agricultural production prices;X12 logistics;X13 government forestry and water affairs spending.Using factor analysis method to analyze the impact of these indicators on Shandong Province agricultural international competitiveness,followed by regression analysis to determine the specific relationship between each factors and competitiveness of agricultural products in Shandong Province,Come to the conclusion that the main factor of F1 influence on agricultural product international competitive power in shandong province from 2001 to 2006,the largest,main factor F2 to shandong agricultural product international competitiveness impact strength increases with time.For the overall index,F1's change is more obvious than F2,basic it is with the increase of year impact strength.Can be seen from the evolution of scores of 13 indicators effects on the international competitiveness of agricultural products in shandong province present obvious rising trend overall.Effective irrigation area of(X1),the proportion of primary industry practitioners(X2),(X3)by the education level,agriculture actual utilization of foreign investment(X4),per capita GDP(X5),the first industrial added value of GDP(X6),agricultural machinery total power(X9),logistics(X12),the government agricultural fiscal expenditure(X13)factors have significant positive correlation,the development and changes of these factors can promote the improvement of agricultural product international competitiveness in shandong province.Town engel's coefficient(X7),village engel's coefficient(by 8),fertilizer usage(X10),agricultural production materials price(X11)shows a negative relationship with shandong agricultural product international competitiveness.And put forward the policy Suggestions in shandong agricultural exports competitiveness.First,factors of production,attracting foreign investment to expand the sources of funds,improve the quality of workers.Second,demand side,stabilize and further expand domestic demand and international standards.Third,related and supporting industries,promote the development of the upstream business,improve the logistics system,the expansion of agricultural products processing enterprises in number and size.Forth,main body structure and competition strategy,promote the industrialization of agriculture,the development of leading enterprises to create their own brand.Fifth,the Government should give policy and financial support.
