Issue of enterprise employee engagement is one of the hottest topics in modern management. How to improve the level of employee engagement and perfect managerial system and improve performance of enterprise is a focus point of current studies of firm management. The relevant literatures about such issue are aboundant but there lack of papers which give systematical analysis of factors of employee's engagement in Chinese statement ownership enterprises. Moreover, the subjects of relevant studies are limited in industries of food, clothes or hi-tech, without referring to other industries or enterprises. Based on Chinese social and culture context, this paper made employees in state-owned enterprises as the subject and tried to analysis their engagement structure and impact factors and finally put forward respective managerial suggestions.First of all, the paper reviewed relevant literatures of employee engagement and analysised the traits of state-owned enterprises and basic status of their employees, which used as the basis for following study. A conceptural model of six influence factors, which are work feature, work confirmation and values, fairness, organization management procedures, internal relations and organization value and goal, was made through analysising the internal structure and impact factors of employees in state-owned enterprises. The model adopted multiple regressions to exam impacts of the six factors on the engagement by controlling significant demographic variables.Secondly, the paper made an empirical study on structure of engement and its influence factors of employees in state-owned enterprises. SPSS 15.0 was used here for the factor analysis, realiability and valid analysis, variance analysis, correlative analysis and regression analysis. Results of data analysis indicated that scales had a wonderful level of realiability and validity; demography variables of age and gender had significant effects on employ engagement; engagement of state-owned enterprises could be divided as two dimensions of reasonal engagement and sensitive engagement, and there were different impacts of each factor on the engagement.Finally, we revised model according to empirical results, gave some suggestions on improving level of engagement of employees in state-owned enterprises.
