State-owned enterprises shoulder the important task of leading economic and social development,but the low degree of engagement of state-owned enterprises has become a key obstacle to their development.Experts and scholars in academia and practice have made suggestions from the perspective of incentive system,salary management and training implementation,and have achieved certain results.In order to continuously improve the engagement of employees in state-owned enterprises,it is necessary to start from the root and stimulate the internal driving force of the employees' passion for the work of the state-owned enterprises,and the career calling just has this attribute.Therefore,this article takes the employees of the state-owned enterprises as the investigation object,and discusses the influence of the career calling on the degree of engagement,and introduces the organizational identification as the adjustment variable to analyze the influence mechanism between the three,and the results have the guiding significance for improving the employee engagement of state-owned enterprises.This paper first reviews and summarizes the related research theories of career calling,engagement and organizational identification.On the basis of this,we put forward the concept of this paper,and combine the purpose of the study to explore the structure dimension of the career calling,and compile the measurement scale.Then,the concept model is constructed and the research hypothesis is put forward.A large scale questionnaire was issued after the pre-test,collected 368 valid questionnaires.Finally,the data were processed and analyzed by SPSS21.0,and the hypotheses were verified.The empirical results show that:(1)the career calling is a multi-dimensional perception concept,including 5 dimensions of adaptability,work meaning,altruism,action orientation and guidance power;(2)the career calling has a positive effect on the degree of engagement,in the influence of each dimension,except that the influence of orientation on vitality and altruism on concentration has not been verified,all the others have been verified;(3)Organizational identification has a positive regulating effect on the impact of overseas experience,job level,and type of employment relationship have a significant impact on the career calling and engagement of state-owned enterprises.This paper provides a new discovery for the study of career calling,which provides a tool for the measurement of career calling for Chinese employees.Through empirical research,it explores the influence of calling on the degree of engagement,validates the regulatory role of organizational identification,and enriches the related research.At the same time,it provides theoretical guidance to increase employee engagement and motivate employees' positive actions.
