Combined with the research achievements of maturity model for project management in foreign country. to construct the maturity model for project management that suit China's current condition. to enhance the level for the engineering project management are the vital tasks for the research of engineering project management.The targets for the introduction of maturity model for project management are to supply the evaluation methodology for the realization of strategic aims in the operation process and apply various knowledge, skills, tools and technology to the activities, which also provide the mechanism for the non-stop enhancement navigation approach. In the thesis, the maturity model for project management is investigated, based on the maturity model for project management from both domestic and international, combined with the characters of the construction project and project managements in China, the approaches that integrate the normalized and empirical, quantitative and qualitative, constructed the maturity model for project management in construction engineering, and an evaluation approach system that based on conceptual model was proposed. Firstly, the research background, the targets and significance, the research status both domestically and international, the main contents and research methodology are introduced briefly, then the definition, various statements and significance of maturity model for project management are focused on. Further, on the research basis of maturity model for project management, to deal with the status quo that mainly focus on qualitative description but lack the quantitative method, based on the current existing model, combined with characteristics of the situations and project management in China, the maturity model and index for project management are constructed, which included the choose of the basic model, the principle of the maturity model for project management in construction engineering, the corresponding design ideas, the evaluation index systems and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation methodology. Finally, through the instance of project management in Anshan Iron & Steel Parkview, the method that combined with fuzzy comprehensive evaluation was carried out the empirical research.
