The source of innovation is knowledge. The essence of the process of innovation in Parent-subsidiary Corporation is knowledge transfer, knowledge share, knowledge create. On the process of innovation in Parent-subsidiary Corporation, knowledge heterogeneity is beneficial to the performance of innovation in Patent-subsidiary Corporation. However, if the knowledge heterogeneity is too much high, it will lead to high the cost of knowledge innovation cost which thus may reduce the innovation performance. So it deserves to how to determine the degree of knowledge heterogeneity to make the performance of innovation best in Patent-subsidiary Corporation? The existing papers have not attached importance to the question and confound the definition of knowledge heterogeneity and knowledge diversity. This paper defines knowledge heterogeneity with two dimensions of knowledge coherence and diversity, then do meta-analysis by the results of existing research, analysis the divergence of the research, integrate the results of the existing research especially the research with different results. Based on the results of meta-analysis we reveals the relationship between knowledge heterogeneity and innovation performance by mathematic model and simulation computation in Patent-subsidiary Corporation. It shows that knowledge coherence and knowledge diversity co-influence innovation performance in Patent-subsidiary Corporation. Specifically, improving knowledge coherence has positive effect on innovation performance, while the effect of knowledge diversity on innovation performance can be determined by its threshold, if knowledge diversity less than the threshold, it has positive effect on innovation performance, inversely, it has negative effect on innovation performance. Finally, the paper gives some managerial implications.
